Hey guys, I just wanna say that I had a great time at this year's AICon! It was my first con, so I didn't know what to expect or what to participate in, but you guys are definitely the friendliest con eh =D

I liked the overall pace of the con. I managed to more or less go to everything I wanted to go to. Not to mention every damn event was a blast to be at ^_^

As for the games, I think that fighting games are probably easier to just pick up (barring a few exceptions) and get a few rounds in. Having said that, maybe a little variety could be fun depending on the game. The fighting games that were there was awesome though, there was a nice difference in the all the game styles from SSBB to the more traditional SF games.

Apart from that, I also agree that some form of catalogue in the auction would have been helpful. Even if it was incomplete or contained a few differences to the actual auction, an idea of what to look out for could be helpful. Maybe have a draft of the auction items out with the schedule and then a final copy stuck to the door on the actual auction day? Just throwing out ideas here >.<

Anyway that's all I can think about for now. Humidity and weather was fine for me, but then again I come from tropical climate -_- ...and I wasn't cosplaying =) Oh and one final thing, I would LOVE to volunteer next year for ANYthing. So I'll be keeping an eye out for that =D

Thanks again for the amazing time!

I'm usually the oldest in my classes tto since I'm born so early in the year... ANYWAY we should stop spamming this topic with ramblings.

AiCon was awesome, apart from the weather (Yeah, Tak, I know I jinxed it :S) And am really looking forward to it next year!

I really enjoyed the con, even the parts where I was trekking up and down the stairs to the screening rooms with far too many things balanced in my arms. I completely agree with everyone who has mentioned the need for airconditioning - I was sweltering, so much of the time, and I was the clever sod who brought a fan.
I actually enjoyed being a volunteer, which I didn't expect.
I would have liked knowing how the systems in the screening rooms worked - not just the screening equipment, but the lights and other mysterious switches.
I agree that an auction catalogue would be great, though I wouldn't want to add to anyone's workload.
Uh, what else... the only other problems I can think of could only be solved through getting more space, or more volunteers, or more committee members... so they're kind of moot for now. It would be nice to have more space, though; wouldn't it?

We're definitely looking for some, the problem we face is we are already at capacity for the stanley burbury, I had to turn traders down because the hall was full, but the next step up from the stanley burbury is looking to be the Grand Chancellor, and that costs about $30000 for starters. So we're looking for a happy medium between the 2, which Hobart is in short supply of
