Maybe another game? (if so, what game, what console, and can you provide equipment each screening?)

Well I'm always up for fighters, though I can't help with anything pos2 or 3 related since I don't own them (sif sully my hands with sony products). Have a couple of wiimotes though.
They do say that verbal insults hurt more than physical pain. They are of course wrong, as you will soon discover when I stick this toasting fork in your head.

I'm going to try and roll this into the AI-Con lans 'stuff'.

Just let me get over this hang over and I'll sort the details.

We stopped checking for monsters under the bed, because we realised they were inside us.

Given that this club orgainises AIcon, would it be more apropriate to include Touhou 12.3 and Melty Blood? Since both run on pc it might be easier to incorperate, and both originate from comikets in japan too. Although melty blood Act b is a pain to get a legit copy of... Touhou from what i can make out is free, and an exellent fighter too.

Aaaaah!!! Oh my god <3!!! Melty Blood Act Cadenza ver B is probably my FAVOURITE fighting game. I play it all the time but I only have the AI to contend with! I have a working version (*ahem*). I also have a working crack to make everything English and I have a third-party program that allows it to play over network. I almost cried when I read that Ryougi Shiki was released for the arcade version of Actress Again and that it was nowhere near being ported yet >.<

*ahem* *composes self*

So yeah, if there's ANY interest at all in that, lemme know, 'cause I am definitely interested.

Well, while we haven't formed any leages as such we do have a nice little small movement going on with the lans, which is good.

True. The attendance we've got at the moment probably isn't large enough to really get a genuine ladder formed, but hopefully that'll change at some point in the future.

Link, you'll be glad to know that we had some guys running the competition mod for Super Smash Bros Brawl at the last LAN, as well as many people becoming interested in Melty Blood.

Yeah, I'm looking in to finding more fighting game emulators so that we can just pass the thing around at the LAN and get more people into the whole scene.

To start off, I managed to get my hands on an emulator for Street Fighter 3: 3rd Strike last night. It's the arcade version with the funky 90's hip hop soundtrack, so it's like the most nostalgic thing you'll ever play.

Mmm, that's a good idea. If you are looking up stuff that might randomly appeal to people though here's a few that are worth looking up...

PC native
Guilty Gear X2# The midnight Carnival
Touhou 12.3 (I can supply for next lan, good keyboard game)
Atatsuki Blizkampf (I can supply too, it has a nun as a playable character, great keyboard game)

Arcade emu (I can never get these to run, normally I'd do this myself, but track record not good)
Super Gem Mini Fighter Mix (Pocket Fighter, lenient on inputs from what I recall so great for keyboards)
Alpha 2 and 3
Dalk Stalkers 3/Vampire Savior
Marvel Vs Capcom 2
Capcom Vs SNK 2
SF3rd Stike (yes you've dealt with it, but more complete lists are good)
Super Turbo (the single longest running arcade game at EVO, only replaced by HDRemix)
Something by SNK, I don't know much about SNK's fighters though, they all seemed a tad uninteresting when I got down to them, KoF 98 tends to be a fan favourite though, And I think samsho 5 is the other one, but I don't really have a clue.

Console Emu
Smash 64

...
That list feels like it should be longer... But apart from Virtua Fighter, Tekken and Soul cal I can't think of a major series neglected here...
